Does anyone have a problem with Obama's name?

Obama's full name is BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA.

That by itself is a reason not to vote for him. No one knows how he looks at the Muslim faith. His father was Muslim and his mother did not reject it, or they would not had given him that name.

Who was he named after with a middle name “Hussein”

In this time in history we don’t need to take any chances.

Oh, please! He was named well before any of us ever heard of Iraq's Hussein. Only people who were blinded by prejudice and who were narrow-minded would think that somehow his name affected his ability to lead our country.

Forgive me if I come across a bit harsh, but the notion that he should be judged on his birth-name and not his character or record seems unfair.

Do you think that he should have changed his name once Saddam fell out of favor with the CIA?

Dear Chosen,

I respectfully disagree with you. Names are very important, especially in the Bible. But if you listen closely to he and his wife...they do have an agenda, although subtle, it is deadly in its intent.

I would not vote for a man who has muslim roots, name of a terrorist, who goes to a church led by a man who espouses hatred and getting even for all the atrocities done to his ancestors.

Blessings, Rhoni

He didn't have the name of a terrorist when he was born.......

There are lots of people named Hussein. King Hussein of Jordan (I think that's where he's at) is a good man, for instance.

I've said all along, he will not be elected because of his name. Two of our arch enemies are Osama and Hussein. Regardless of how politically correct we want to be, middle America will not vote for a president who has muslim names. At the end of the day, it will be Hillary vs. McCain.

The polls disagree at the moment.

Are you responsible for what your parents named you? Does you name have anything to do with the kind of person you are?

If they named him David Jesus Smith, would that make you want to vote for him? Would his name be the reason he might be a Christian had he been named that?

The idea he has Muslim heritage does not bother you.

He's been a professing Christian for over 25 years now. He hasn't had Muslim influence since he was about ten years old. There are lots of Christians who have a Muslim background. Do we not trust any of them either?
