Passing of Rev. Haskell Yadon

Haskell Dale Yadon passed away yesterday evening. (1/14/08) A year ago, 1/18/07, he was diagnosed with a brain tumor and had surgery that day. Shortly after we, the Yadon family, were with him at the hospital in Tacoma. He survived the surgery very well. We were all very hopeful in spite of the surgeon's indication that there would possibly be more. And there was more. Hack had some "bad spells" before Christmas. Changes were apparent.

Yesterday evening he passed out. As they rushed him to the hospital he was aware of severe chest pain. He was immediately diagnosed with a massive heart attack. He died within just a few minutes.

This was a partial message I received from my dear friend, Jewel Dillon. For those of you who went to JCM, I am sure you had fond memories of the one liners of the former C.H. Yadon. This was his youngest son who passed away and Sis. Jewel Dillon is the oldest child.

So besides Sis. Jewel Dillon- is there anyone other siblings left?
How is the Yadon who pastors in Pocatello, Idaho related? I think him name is Loren.

Steve Yadon pastors in Pocatello
Loren Yadon in Boise. They are brothers and cousins to the man that died.

Besides Steve there is one more sister: Ruby Rutzen, her husband Norman is the Pastor Emeritus in Boise, a separate church from Loren's. We went to JCM with Loren.

It is so sad when one generation passes. Thankfully they were all living for God.

That's who we went to JCM with; he was a freshman when we were seniors.

Phil was C. H. Yadon's nephew; the son of C. M. Yadon, the longtime district superintendent of the Washington District. I believe C. M. is still alive - haven't heard from Phil in awhile.

Loren Yadon is Phil's cousin.

Loren was the son of Paul Yadon, brother to Charles Haskell and Charles Moses.

He was T. F. Tenney's administrative assistant for several years in the Louisiana District and now pastors in Boise, Idaho.

That's right. I forgot it was Phil. I have a sermon tape that Bro. Loren Yadon in Boise preached, "The Gifts Our Parents Didn't Know They Gave US". I've been to Boise twice in the last couple years.

Whatever happened to Phil? I'll have to ask Jewel.
