Kicking back with rrford!

Hey folks, I'm preaching down the road a ways from my place and got to spend some quality time with Bro. rrford. The man simply thinks on a different level and probably has more scriptural analogies than some of the Apostles!

Had lunch with him today on my way to the meeting and then was with him at the meeting. As always, we had a great time and I'll be with them again tomorrow AM & PM.

Granted the 'preaching' wasn't much at the meeting but the fellowship was blessed. Hey, we were so busy solving the problems of the world we didn't even have time to discuss you folks on AFF!

We can all sleep better tonight knowing you two are looking out for us!

"Granted the 'preaching' wasn't much at the meeting"

Were you trying to be humble or is that the truth?

Alas, you kind folks have simply not been here!

I've been somewhat hindered, as it were, physically. As many on here know I've been having some very severe problems healthwise... to the point that I was told a few weeks ago that if I didn't make some drastic changes that I wouldn't live over a few more weeks. (Have always been uncommonly healthy but now? Blood pressure 239/141... Blood sugar consistently over 650)

I went to the Doctor (finally) and he put me on some medicines (both various injections and pills every day) and, honest to God, I'm not sure I wouldn't rather fight the blood pressure and diabetes! Something I'm taking is making me viciously sick and having hideous headaches but I have to take it, they say, until my system gets used to it.

So, alas, it's not a 'sham' of humility... I just hope those I'm preaching to can't tell how hindered I really feel!

Viciously sick and hideous headaches from medications? Something doesn't sound right.

How are your blood sugars and your blood pressure now?

I remember a time when it seemed like I was sick all of the time. So I asked the Lord about it. I felt like the Lord said to me that the reason I was sick and hurting was so that I could become more sensitive to those that were sick and hurting in the churches where I ministered.

I know one thing. It certainly worked.
