For whom do we get baptized? Christ.
Who died? Christ.
If the dead don't rise then we were baptized for a dead guy. Why? There is no real reason, since baptism signifies death, burial, AND RESURRECTION.
So no antenicene Mormon thing going on, or anything weird. Just Paul arguing that Christians who deny the resurrection make no sense because they make their baptism pointless and devoid of real significance.
At least that's one way to look at it.
