Godhead Statement

Would you consider the following statement to be Oneness or Trinitarian?

We believe that Scripture teaches that there is only one true and living God who has chosen to reveal Himself as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10,11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22).

That description fits what both trinitarian and Oneness folks believe. It is a very true statement!

Neither, and that is why I would be in favor of using the language. It provides opportunity to unite rather than divide.

It's a God statement. What of that is not true and scriptual?

Oneness and/or ambiguously Trinitarian.

I would say as you state it Oneness.

If you stated as The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit it could be considered Trinitarian.

The fact that we have "chosen" in the statement above would lead me to think we are reading a Oneness writer, or at least a writer who leans favorably in that direction.

This statement was pulled from Ron parsely's website. Is he coming our way?

I hope he is. I have been preaching around Ohio for over a year now and I have been told more than once that he is baptizing in Jesus name now. i can't prove this but some people in Ohio claim it is true.
