What Happens When A Federal Disaster Area Is Declared?

Everybody knows that it brings financial help to the area but... as we have always hear... there's no such thing as a free lunch.

I have heard that when a federal disaster area is declared that this also allows police etc to enter homes without warrants and without homeowner permission.

Does anyone know what other things happen when a federal disaster area is declared?

well, that part about police entering homes is a misnomer. a federal disaster area doesnt lead to the police doing otherwise illegal searches and seasures.

it just streamlines the process that states go thru to get federal funds.
