I think calling this a discussion is a bit of a stretch. It’s a monologue. The guy basically announces the subject and after that he could very well just go home. It may be that it gives somewhat of an appearance of a discussion. I think that’s the intent. But a discussion? Maybe not. A discussion indicates the possibility of a dialogue. DKB could not take a chance on that. That may be dangerous. Maybe a scripted (not necessarily scriptural) monologue.

You must not know him very well or at all. A large part of his early ministry was debating people publicly on various topics. He is excellent at public dialogue and at extemporaneous speaking. I attended his church for awhile many years ago, and he frequently took questions on Wednesday nights after he taught.
