I understand, for some people smoking a little marijuana brings them into a deep praise and worship of Jesus according to them.

any D.J. will tell you that lights and music can set the mood of the entire crowd.
and can change the mood any time they change the lights and the beat.

not against good music, but concerts are just concerts they are designed to give the crowd an experience and entertainment.

Guessing you prefer Hold tbe fort for I am coming.....

People can have talent, their ministry using music can be anointed, and they can do all of this with a banjo, or a keyboard, OR, they csn have two sets of drums, an electric guitarist with stacks of overdrive and delay + all the other stuff. If it is biblical, and lifts praise to Christ that it also is done well is not a detraction.

Personally i think there are some very cool sounds that can help to make the praise and worship service that much more the prelude to entering into "church" - that is not the building, that is the state where we enter Gods presense corporately as a collective of individual worshipers. Just because David Gilmore makes these noises also, does not invalidate their value.

........and I cannot stand Hold the fort....

But I love He walks with me, and This is my story for instance, older songs - but not so much doctrine in them either.
