Ivanka Trump given security clearance

I realize this is a week old now, but I didn't get around to making a thread about it before. So, Ivanka Trump has an office in the West Wing and security clearance to view classified material, but is not an official member of the government or even of Trump's staff. Add to that, Trump's son-in-law (Ivanka's husband) Kushner has been appointed as a member of his staff.

Nepotism. I don't like it. The law is against it, but Trump doesn't care. Conway blatantly broke the law by pushing Ivanka's clothing line during an interview and Trump shrugged it off, so ethics and the law isn't a big deal with this admin, as far as pertaining to themselves.

She needs to resign from her businesses and divest so there aren't any conflicts. I doubt she will though. Conway still owns a polling company, which again is against the law.

Not to mention, Ivanka is a liberal and supports liberal policies.

Distraction. Ivanka in the West Wing isn't nearly as important as Trump being in the pocket of Goldman-Sachs and in debt to Soros to the tune of multiple millions and continuing the deluge of unvetted "refugees" and even more "legal" immigrants and....

Oh, why bother, I hear the Superbowl's gonna be great this year and they increased the fluoride ration so let's MAGA our way to total oblivion!

I find it rather ironic that Trump supporters were blasting Cruz for his "ties" to GS during the campaign, but completely ignore Trump's even greater ties to them.

I wasn't a Trump supporter, and even tried to notify the Trump supporters on this forum about Trump's documented mob connections. I mean, actually documented. But yes, the Trumpists have succumbed to the same degenerative disease that Obamabots and Cruzbots fell victim to - 'political psychosis'. Manifests as a cult of personality around Glorious Leader types.

It doesn't really matter though. Most of the people who voted for Trump knew inside that the gig is about up. The Trumpists, however, well.. probably either paid campaigners or else suffering from normalcy bias and cognitive dissonance.
