I can see his plan would be - I can't win my re-election, I will be VP, blame the loss on Trump or the anti-Trump crowed and become a Lobbyist. Win, win!

I think that he has nowhere else to go as he capitulated on religious freedom last year - folded up like a cheap tent. He is PERFECT for Trump.

If true, this confirms what many have claimed --- Trump is lost in his search for VP. He has a few fallback, yes men who would jump at the opportunity (Pence, Christie, Gingrich) but hasn't been able to land the one he actually wants.
