But you are God's chosen generation, his royal priesthood , his holy nation ,his peculiar people ------- all of the old titles of God's people now belong to you.

Here we have Brother Peter in his first General Epistle telling the believers that the old titles of natural Israel in the old covenant now belong to God's new covenant community of faith.
Notice Brother Peter tells the believers that they are God's Holy Priesthood ,A Royal Priesthood of believers.
Under God's old covenant in order to be a Priest one had to been a descendant of Aaron or belong to the tribe of Levi.
Only the Priests could minister in the tabernacle.Priests also tended to the Temple everyone was not allowed to make holy sacrifice to The One Lord of Heaven ,and everyone certainly able to have access to the Holiest of Holys and the manifest presence of God.
Now in the church everyone who is borned of the water and Spirit has equal access to The Lord God ,Jesus The Christ .No matter our natural birth or status in life ,all borned agained people have equal access to our Blessed Lord.
We who comprise The Body Of Christ are the temple of God ,all the glory Of God dwells in us the Temple Or The House Of The Holy God.
We are Kings and Priests unto The Lord and His Christ ,we all can make our lifes a Holy Sacrifice unto our God.
While those in the Body Of Christ have differing callings and giftings ,there is not rank system in the church.Due to the riven veil all have equal access to Our Lord.
The ground is level at the foot of the cross ,and all those who are truly borned again are His Royal priesthood ,we all have a place and gifting to function in as members in particular in His Royal Priesthood of believers.
