No. Felons should lose their right to vote and own firearms.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I do not believe in any kind of eternal punishment. I believe that after a certain period of living legally a person with a previous felony conviction should be able to apply to have first class citizenship restored.

It takes a lot of hard work to overcome a mistake that leads to a felony conviction but it should not be made impossible.

No one is saying they cannot be productive members of society. They just lose their right to vote and own firearms.

Can you imagine the expense and paperwork involved if we had a system where a person could "apply to have first class citizenship restored"?? Who would make that judgement call? Whoever would it would involve a lot of expense.

The cost of the hearing could be assumed by the one applying to be restored to first class citizenship. How costly the process might be would probably be dependent on how complicated a situation it was.

But please, even if we used taxpayer dollars... we certainly waste them on lesser things everyday than restoring someone who has genuinely turned their life around... Have you had a peek at where the money really goes lately?

God actually gave everything to restore us to the full citizenship of heaven, I am not sure how we as Christians could do any less.

Re: Should Felons Be Allowed To Vote ?

There is alot of people with Anti-american ideas and those with Socialistic And Communistic leanings who vote, who probably should not have the right to vote.
