Enforcing the Manual

I am sure that there are those who want the organization to enforce the manual prohibitions on lifestyle issues such as attending sporting events, television, movies, standards of dress, etc.

How would this be possible? How could it be done without creating a culture of policing one another, people following one another around, someone taking pictures and submitting them to district officials, someone hiring private investigators to follow around someone that we suspect or have an axe to grind with? I don't see how it would be possible to "enforce" the manual with out creating a mountain of problems and ruining our organization.

Do you disagree? Do you think there should be more enforcement of the manual?

Is the AOF just suggestions or commandments?

Apparently they are commandments since a minister must affirm only parts of it.

Don't some already do this?

It's VERY inconsistent from church to church, so I don't see how it could ever be enforced or controlled. Further more, I don't believe it ever should be.

The most disturbing thing about DB's post is that there really are those among us who feel it is their duty and right to point out moral failures at every turn. They take it to the extreme. They point out things that are not EVEN moral failures in the hopes that someone will be destroyed.

It's just always seemed to me that they are satanic.
