So the State of Nevada issued me a permit to carry a concealed loaded pistol while on business or pleasure in their beautiful state. When ever leaving my hotel I have one of four pistols I brought with me on my right hip. Anyone else here carry a pistol?
Also, I don't want to read any nonsense. If Peter carried a sword and Jesus didn't complain......well......
I will tell you folks this. I was at camp meeting two years ago and I took one of my pistols. I had it loaded and by my bedside. I awoke around 3AM and my pistol was gone! I jumped off my hotel bed and pulled off all the covers and the pistol was gone. Then I said to myself, self, someone came into my room while I was sleeping and stole my pistol. For some reason I felt to check my luggage bag that was on the other side of the room. Inside my luggage bag at the very bottom my pistol laid. I said how did this get here, then God spoke and told me, " I will protect you." Fear fell upon me and I unloaded my pistol and stored it away.
So I guess I'm being a bad boy right now by carrying a pistol.
I have a glock and a 38. I'm not a bad shot. If you come through my door at night and think you are going to rob me or worse, don't count on it.

Friend of mine had a night intruder. Guy walked into the bedroom. Friend grabbed the gun he kept beside the bed and aimed. Didn't fire. Good thing, too. The intruder was his own child.
Not saying nobody should have a gun. Just sayin'.

So are you saying God spoke to your heart about the gun but carryone anyways?
Well at the time I had it laying by my bedside when it disappeared into my luggage bag. But to answer your question shamefully, yes. Only when I'm in Nevada though.

Don't you think that your actions are dangerous in more than one way?
I'm not judging you at all-- former military guy who has no problem with killing in the proper context.
Just the testimony you gave and then your actions don't marry up. It caused me to pause.

Jermyn,
I don't think my actions are dangerous. I do remember walking some years ago and this guy was hanging out of a passenger door. He was either about to throw something at me or shoot me. As he stuck out his hand I turned around and he yelled, dropped what was in his hand and he began shaking his hand. Did God supernaturally burn his hand, perhaps. In 2007 I was driving in CA when these gangsters pulled out a gun, pointed at me and pulled the trigger. I heard the click. Did God make that bullet a dud if it was loaded, yes. Police came but couldn't find them. Last year I was driving to church and another gangster started throwing gang sign at me and wanted me to get off the car to fight him. I tried driving away and he tried blocking me in traffic. I made a u-turn and struck his car to get away. Police came, other guy drove off, and witness gave their statement.
I didn't have a gun on me during these events. Sure God kept me, but having a pistol on me wouldn't have been too bad. I'm a people person and get along with everyone. If I had a pistol on me and was confronted by a group of thugs, I would walk away and tell them I don't want any problems. However, if they were persistent and demanded something of me by threat of bodily harm, and if God didn't intervene, I would without hesitation put a window in the body of any individual threatening my life.
Should I carry a pistol after my "camp meeting" experience, probably not. But that's a situation I'm working out with God.

But God already told you He will protect you! What more is there to discuss?
