When George W Left Office Gas Was $1.84 a Gallon
Oh for the good ole days!!!
Remember when we could afford to drive to work, school, to the grocery, take road trips etc?
Remember when unemployment was only around 6%?
Remember when folks could afford to buy a home, a car, a steak dinner?
Remember when the national debt was only $10 trillion?
Remember when we were only mired down in two wars?
Remember when we had a president who went to church every Sunday?
Remember when homosexuality was not permitted in the military?
Remember when justices appointed to the Supreme Court were constitutionalists?
Remember when the Justice Department enforced the laws of the land versus openly stating they would not (the Defense of Marriage Act)?
Remember when drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico was allowed?
Remember when heads of state bowed to our president versus the president bowing to heads of state?
Remember when the USA would side with Israel?
Remember when the US dollar was strong?
Remember when gold and silver prices were relatively low because of the strength of the US economy?
Remember when terrorists were not granted habeas corpus?
Remember the good ole days?

Obama is a very bad president, IMO. Don't blame me. I was against him before he got into office. But George was no winner. Don't forget, he pushed that huge bailout through right before he left office.

The bar has been set so low, George's years are looking pretty fabulous.

Re: When George W Left Office Gas Was $1.84 a Gall
Seems that GW went against his principles and pushed for the bailout AFTER going to congress 17 times in 08 alone, to warn them about the coming housing market crisis.
From WH:
Quote:
For many years the President and his Administration have not only warned of the systemic consequences of financial turmoil at a housing government-sponsored enterprise (GSE) but also put forward thoughtful plans to reduce the risk that either Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac would encounter such difficulties. President Bush publicly called for GSE reform 17 times in 2008 alone before Congress acted. Unfortunately, these warnings went unheeded, as the President’s repeated attempts to reform the supervision of these entities were thwarted by the legislative maneuvering of those who emphatically denied there were problems.
