Does anyone have the Lyrics to Jesus this is Jimmy

I used to sing in a gospel group. Soul Searchers and my sister-in-law Annette used to do the words to this song and we all sang the chorus. She has passed away and I would love to have the words to it. The only thing I could find was a video on U-tube and it's too difficult to hear all the words. Does anyone by chance have them I would love to have them
Thanks and God Bless.

Is this it?

Jimmy and Jesus

Jimmy was born in Bethlehem, Georgia
He grew up to be a carpenter by trade
We met four years ago on a job site
Said he'd just turned 29 on Christmas Day

Jimmy always had a hammer in his hand
I can still hear him driving those tenpenny nails
But Sunday morning you'd find him at the Baptist church
Giving thanks for his family, friends and his health

Jimmy and Jesus sure did have a lot in common
Both born in December in a town with the same name
Jimmy and Jesus worked hard every day
Tryin' to make this world a better place

His weekly paycheck barely paid his bills
Yet he could always find an extra ten to lend a friend
You'd hear them say "we'll pay ya back on Friday"
But he'd say "Don't worry about it"

And just look at them and grin

Jimmy and Jesus sure did have a lot in common
They'd give you the shirt right off their back
Jimmy and Jesus worked hard every day
Tryin' to make this old world a better place

Looking back I can't forget that rainy April afternoon
I slipped and fell while me and Jimmy were working on a roof
He reached out and saved me from fallin' down
But then he lost his balance and tumbled to the ground
Jimmy and Jesus sure did have a lot in common
They lived their lives unselfishly
And died to save a friend
Jimmy and Jesus worked hard everyday
Tryin' to make this old world a better place
Tryin' to make this old world a better place

Re: Does anyone have the Lyrics to Jesus this is J

thanks so much Lacey, but no, that isn't the one we did. Someone from our church found them for me. Here is the one we used to sing.

Jesus This Is Jimmy
Bobby Groves
Chorus: day follows night; night follows day; This old world keeps rolling along; What will your answer be; what will you say when Jesus beckons you home?

Recitation: his name was Jimmy; He was not very old -about 10 or 11--but you would not call life for Jimmy, heaven on Earth. His mom and dad loved the night life and Jimmy was just too much bother--- Oh--- but ,I wonder will they feel the same way, when they stand before the Father? Jimmy had to sell newspapers to stay off starvation. Every day , he would go by this little gospel mission. he would walk in , lay his paper bag on the altar and he would pray this simple but unusual prayer; "Jesus this is jimmy; Jesus this is Jimmy." Well- I guess you would say its the only way the little boy knew how to pray. On this particular morning, Jimmy went to sell his newspapers. On this very morning as he went by the little gospel mission, he decided he would run inside as he always did to pray his simple prayer. Anyway it was cold outside and this would be a way to get warm, but ,on this morning, the preacher was holding a counseling session. Jimmy rushed in and laid his paper bag on the altar and prayed," Jesus this is Jimmy." he never noticed the preacher holding the counseling session and never intended to disturb anyone. But the preacher saw what was happening, he grabbed Jimmy by the arm. "What is the meaning of this? Why are you praying this unusual prayer, "Jesus this is Jimmy? Jimmy- why are you disturbing us?" Jimmy said," Preacher-I am sorry if I disturbed anyone. I just wanted the Lord to know my Name." As he left, the preacher caught a glimpse of a tear. Once again, Jimmy was pushed aside. As he left, he slipped from the curb and was hit by a car. The preacher saw what happened, took Jimmy and fled for the hospital. The doctor said life on earth for Jimmy is about to end. The room lit up as if someone was about to speak, but someone was not in sight. You could hear a small voice say," Jimmy - this is Jesus. Jimmy - this is Jesus."
(repeat chorus to end)
