headed this week to the jungle...

Perhaps we are now sitting comfortably in our cozy living rooms. We may have just returned from a wonderful service at the church. Such inspirational singing, and such a good message, we enjoyed it so much. If there are little ones, we have said prayers with them, and put them to bed. The lights are turned low.
We are now ready for a time of wholesome, quiet relaxation, as we turn on the music before retiring. Meanwhile, in the jungle by the river, there is no one to tell them about Him. I have stood by those rivers, where entire villages of needy people live and die, without ever as much as hearing the wonderful name of Jesus.

I think about what you have said quite a bit. I think about how often I let myself get in a horrible mood when I hit 3 or more red lights in a row and wish I didn't have to drive so far to work, or when the irrigation system springs a leak and I have to <gasp> run to Home Depot to pick up a part or two (usually costing between 2 and 3 bucks), usually grumbling the whole way.

I think about how utterly useless God (probably) thinks I am.

it is very difficult and a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOG journey...however each soul is precious in the eyes of the Creator and we must do our best to reach them before it is forever to late.
