The Puritans And Wedding Rings.

I have been reading a book by J.I. Packer about The Puritans.
I have read in the book ,that the Puritans opposed the usage of Wedding Rings ,because they felt wedding rings enforced the doctrine ,that marriage was a sacrament.
I thought this was interesting ,also they opposed the use of the sign of the cross in baptism so called which I assume was the affusion method or sprinkling ?
Although the Puritans did not have full -truth they did have some interesting teachings about living a life of faith.
The Puritans seemed to have been opposed to corruption in The Church OF England.

I'll double check my sources, but I believe the puritans refused to use the KJV. They preferred either the Bishop's Bible or the Geneva Bible.

I think Epley and Old Paths should stop celebrating Thanksgiving since the puritans used a Bible that wasn't KJV authorized.

Those other two Bibles did come prior to the KJV and were not commissioned by King James as a Bible that was to be read out loud in churches.

I think they used the Geneva Bible.

REAL Protestants wouldn't use that Church of England KJV Bible that was promoted by a limp wrist pervert like King James. They would use the REAL Protestant Geneva Bible.

I try to avoid scavenger fish. To me it's like eating at the chineese restaraunt next to the pet store. There is at least a little element of concern about what's in the food.
