Question When is enough...enough?

The Bible teaches about patience, about enduring trials and hard times, and it even teaches that God will not put more on a person than they can bear, but I ask you...just when is enough...enough?

Do you think it is God's plan for us to just "survive"?

Just curious as to what others think?

Blessings, Rhoni

He that "Endures" to the end the same shall be saved.

Endures carries a lot in my opinion.

Paul said it best: Romans 8:18 (KJV) 18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Set your focus on the hereafter, where all tears shall be wiped away, not on the here and now where there are many tears.

If you define "just surviving" as meaning being weak (not weak in faith but weak in that you can't do anything except go through the trouble ie. you are powerless in your own efforts) then Paul said this:

2Cr 12:7 ¶ And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure.
2Cr 12:8 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
2Cr 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
2Cr 12:10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

The part I bolded is what I always try to remember. There is another scripture in which Jesus said if we suffer for His sake then the Glory of God rests upon us. I think Paul is saying the same thing.

James 2
12 So whenever you speak, or whatever you do, remember that you will be judged by the law of love, the law that set you free. 13 For there will be no mercy for you if you have not been merciful to others. But if you have been merciful, then God's mercy toward you will win out over his judgment against you.

its never "enough is enough".... if it was "enough" yet, God would have already intervened....

Rhoni,
As I am sure you already agree - when we walk in the spirit......you just have to walk until you can't feel it's right to do that anymore.

For instance, there was a women that used to babysit my daughter and she became a real important person in our lives. She took care of her and took her out to their farm, etc. They were like grandparents.

She became very controlling and would get angry if I talked about church. She didn't want me taking my daughter on Sunday or Wednesday night because she needed to be in bed at 8:00 - like that works in Pentecost. LOL!

One day, after just not knowing how much further I could go with her the Lord gave me the scripture in the gospels about "Oh, how I would have gathered you...."

I knew in the Holy Ghost that my time involved in her life was over. I went as far as I could go.

We just have to ask the Lord. I can't make those judgments on my own.

Man's days are short and full of trouble ,probelms and hard times are apart of the human condition.
But The Christian can maintain joy and peace and victory during a hard period of life.
We can be like JOB and keep our integrity when we face hardships.
