Need something effective to repel snakes.....

Seems the mothballs aren't doing the trick anymore--

I hate snakes!!

Last night as we were leaving for church-- we killed a baby copperhead on our driveway. It was about the size of a pencil. Michael thought it was a WORM-- and wanted to keep it for a pet.

Usually where there's one-- there's at least half a dozen of those things.

I hate snakes!!

This is the first time we've seen one of those in many years. I know that living close to the river like we do, we are going to see snakes-- but I don't have to let them live in my yard. There has to be something effective to keep them away.

I hate snakes!!

The lawn is kept cut short -- and larger snakes would be easy to spot.. but the thoughts of there being more of those babies out there is keeping my kids in the house unless hubby is home to be out there with them.

Did I mention that I hate snakes?!

I remember my Daddy telling me that the best snake repellant was to always carry a flashlight........
Of course, he said you have to carry it real fast. LOL

Oh! I also hate snakes. Stepped on one while barefooted as a child while climbing across a fence. I don't remember climbing back across that fence... but some friends with me said they never seen anyone jump as high as I did that day. LOL

I've seen a few of those chicken snakes when I was a kid! Scary creatures! I hate snakes and those palmetto bugs that fly.

Ducks will do it every time.

Eat them up when they are young.
