I don't see standing by when others are threatened or persecuted as good, refreshing change. I do think there should be clear deliberation before action is taken, but there is a time for swift, decisive action.
I don't have much respect for men who hesitate to protect those in their care. I'd rather see a rash decision with good motives than a slow decision that is too protective of personal and political reputation.
