(CNN) — It's the same Oval Office. The same desk. Even the same curtains. But President Obama has already made one major change: Go through eight years of White House photos, and you won't find one of former President Bush in the Oval Office without his jacket on.
It wasn't just a personal preference. In the Bush administration, it was a rule: Jackets in the Oval Office — and now, it seems, one of the first Bush-era regulations to get scrapped in the Obama White House.

I like your hyperbole about the sky falling here, Derrick.
The whole jacket thing Bush did was just a carry-over from Ronald Reagan. I respected Reagan's approach because he did it to emphasize something "new," in his day and about his approach to government. GWB, I think, did it to honor Reagan and to dispel the cooties from what had gone on in that office in the previous admin.
It would be nice if Obama could operate with some freedom from the past. I think GWB got the cooties out. I say we let this new guy roll up his sleeves and get to work.

Yeah, I could see how people would have differing views on this (respect of the office, etc). But I'm with you - let him make it his own.
