Anyone going to the Feast of Pentecost?

The Feast is almost upon us, and I was wondering if I could expect to see any of my AFF pals there. It will be taking place at Mercy Tabernacle in Benton, TN and is the General Conference of the International Church of Jesus Christ. I was ordained there last year and it was the most powerful outpouring of the Spirit I've ever seen. SOOOO EXCITED!!!

Re: Anyone going to the Feast of Pentecost?

The Feast of Pentecost is the annual campmeeting of Mercy Tabernacle, a church located in Benton, Tn. John W. McCann founded what was then called the Pentecostal Tabernacle on July 10, 1960. In 1972, the Pentecostal Tabernacle was re-established on Polk County Ave in Cleveland, TN. A few years later, a much larger building was erected in Benton, Tennessee where the church was re-named "The Church of Jesus Christ of Prophecy". Still later, the church was renamed Mercy Tabernacle. The "Feast" is an annual event that brings together a large congregation every October. John and Burkett McCann (brothers) labored together for many years as ministers of the Gospel until Burkett passed away a few years ago. John and Lorene (deceased) had 1 son (who passed away in infancy) and 6 daughters: Edith, Ressie, Joyce, Julia, Hazel and Wilma.

John W. McCann was born September 1st, 1931, and still activly oversees the work of his ministry.

I won't be attending, however, I am curious: When you say the "General Conference of the International Church of Jesus Christ", are you referring to Bishop Boyd Lawsons group located in Cleveland, Tennessee?

No, that would be the Church of Jesus Christ International. Confusing, I know, especially since Cleveland is like a stone's throw from Benton. The ICJC is headed by Bishop McCann and Bishop Curtis Ward, my Pastor.

I don't believe so, but don't quote me.
