Remind me - Who is voting FOR McCain?

I'm absolutely convinced that if one listens to the rhetoric of those who say they will be voting for the McCain-Palin ticket ..... you'd walk away with the notion that either they despise Obama so much that they can't vote for him (against Obama) ... or because they have drunk Palin koolaid ... they are voting for (Palin-McCain)

It's blatantly (and painfully) obvious when one examines even here .... the number of anti-Obama threads and the cutesy Palin avatars ... while others are entranced by the "Palin effect" ... little is offered as to the reasons why we should vote for McCain ... in any.

Even Rush ... is guilty of this ... once a McCain hater, most of his show now is dedicated to everything other than why he's voting FOR McCain.

So why are you not voting FOR McCain again?

If McCain's health holds up ... you are are aware VP's are largely ceremonial and powerless .... right?

You do know that Obama is not the anti-Christ, Muslim or a communist despite what talk radio and email chains feed you day in and day out ... right?

Are you voting on McCain's resolute stand on "Conservative" issues? Doubt it ... if so you'd be voting for Paul or Barr.

When you get a chance take an inventory of the "conservative" analysts you laud and how they are approaching this election ... take a look at how your fellow forumites are approaching this .... and even your own reasons why you are not voting FOR McCain ...

might be a healthy exercise ... it might tell you about THE MAN McCain. It's a campaign based on hate, negativity, pandering and misdirection, IMO.

I'll pre-baptize this thread w/ the following accolades .... for my anti-Obama/Palin voter friends ...

And yes... TRUTH HAS BEEN SPOKEN HERE.

OK, folks... Now we know.

Dan has given us the only two reasons why people would be voting for McCain.

(So I guess before Palin was chosen, people were only voting McCain because they despised Obama. )

Good grief. Will the irrationality ever stop?

P.S.
Why is Dan worried about who other people are voting for? Shouldn't he just worry about his own guy?

TR, I'm convinced that many people were voting for McCain because that is who the Republican party said vote for. It was not because they were convinced that he would represent their specific desires as evident by the fact that many of the same people used to be vehemently opposed to him. People were voting Republican, not for McCain and his specific policy promises.

And that's not happening on the Democratic side?
Hmmm?

That was not a pro-Democrat observation. It was an anti-blind partisanship observation. Maybe I need to change my sig line to "I am not a Democrat".

When we see that African-Americans voted 91% Democrat in 2004, and are expected to vote as much as 95% for the Democrats/Obama this year, do you consider that blind partisanship?

Or are they just voting for Obama because they prefer his "specific policy promises" (to use your words) over McCain's?

Maybe I missed your anti-blind partisanship post where you talked about that.

You all are amazing. The point is McCain IS CLOSER to what we stand for...
