Not sure what that's supposed to mean.

But I think it's a fair question to ask someone who works in the health field.

I was thinking of that Brother Chris Hall who works in a governmental union. He was always strongly advocating nationalized health care. People would beat him up so bad that I started joking with him about being a "union thug" and "commie."

But since you asked a serious and good question, I'll answer.

I think there are both pros and cons to a nationalized HC system, but overall, I'm against it at this time. I think those who make bad decisions about their choices in life (like smoking, excessive drinking, things like that) should have to pay higher premiums for health care and those who choose to 'live right' should reap the benefits.

The job I currently have rewards those who are non-smokers with lower premiums for health care. I think that's a good thing. Too many people in the nursing homes that wouldn't be there if they could breathe, but smoking for 50+ years did them in.

Now, in a more perfect world, I'd be all for it.

And I do think every child should have quality healthcare.
