Ice Cream/Toppings
Margie3
Want to make some super-easy, cheap hot fudge sauce for on ice cream?
Take a can of Hershey's chocolate syrup (the generic stuff works fine), dump it in a saucepan. Add about 1 1/2 cups of sugar and about 3 T of margarine or butter. Cook over medium heat till it boils then boil it for about 3-5 minutes or just till it begins to thicken a little. Don't boil too long or it will get thick like tar. Add 1 t. vanilla and serve over ice cream. Yum Yum!!
Or - here's a GREAT thing to do with it for you coffee lovers!
Take about 2 T of it and put it in your coffee cup. Pour in coffee (not quit to the top). I like Hazelnut flavored for this. Then top off with a squirt of whipped cream. COFFEE DESSERT!!

Re: Ice Cream/Toppings
I'm moving this thread temporarily for those who don't know we have a section for recipes.
Thought this one would be fun since it is summer time.

Re: Ice Cream/Toppings
It's interesting to find this thread on here today. I spent about 10 minutes at Kroger's today checking out a homemade ice cream maker. I'm still considering buying one. My kids have never ever tasted homemade ice cream, so I think that would be fun.
Thanks for bringing it to the front like this, Esther. Now I know I have to go and get it!
