The Church...

In this day of uncertainty and questioning...in this hour of change and issues, what is our most critical need?!

more prayer... less sin.
After that, everything else will fall into place.

That might sound simplistic, but sometimes the answers are really that simple.

Agreed...what is needed is a desire to follow the simple instructions.

HONESTY AND INTEGRITY IN LEADERSHIP. If these are there, the passion and enthusiasm will follow.

Ever abiding love. If we can't love those we have seen how can we say we Love Him we haven't?

True love will make us Kingdom of Heaven minded.
True love will make us love the unloveable.
True love will make us love those we don't like.

Faith, hope, and charity are the essential ingredients of the true Church!
Righteousness, peace, and joy are the defining attributes of the true Church!

The determination to:
  • push through the cacophony of voices all around us i.e. demanding critical voices of people and the voice of all the different media forms available ... television, internet, television, etc. that can absorb our time and energy and dull our hearing and our sensitivity to spiritual things

  • push through peer pressure

  • push through ease and comfort

  • push through carnality and an "at ease in Zion" mentality

  • so that we can hear the voice of God and know what the will of God is for us personally and then to perform it to the best of our ability.

  • Also, there's an incredible need for thankfulness and gratitude. We need to recognize the blessings of God and give praise to God. We're not going to truly be able to express proper thankfulness and receive all that God has for us unless we first and truly recognize the goodness of God in our lives and the huge store of blessing that we have. We grumble and complain so much and we take so much for granted!
Just a few thoughts.

Sometimes the third and fourth generations are not aware of the cost to the prior generations for the things they have, in Pentecost, and in life in general. The Church could use a large dose of gratitude and humility.
