His short life impacted Pentecost is a greater way the majority of the preachers at his time combined.
Acts7:52
Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

It seemed dangerous in the OT to have been called a prophet of God. And
in the NT, they killed the 33 yr. old Son of God. Remember the parable that
Jesus told about where the king sent his servants to see about his vineyard
and they killed each of them. Then the king said he would send his son, the
heir and they killed the son also.

The Husbandman and His Vineyard

Matthew 21: 33-46 / Mark 12: 1-13 / Luke 20: 9-27

The husbandman destroyed those wicked men and let out the vineyard to
other tenants. That is exactly what happened to Jerusalem (vineyard) in
AD70. Now the vineyard is let out to WHOSOEVER WILL. Come and dine.

It began in Jerusalem and then to Samaria and has now gone into the
uttermost parts of the earth. It began with Jesus own but they did not
count themselves worthy so He destroyed their city and their temple. Paul
said the gentiles would hear. And they did.

Prophets never did seem to be popular, at least, not for long. Perhaps John
being the exception.

I have that tape somewhere in the midst of my collection.

I appreciate the many differing styles of preaching. I tend to believe what they say if it's lines up with God's Word.

I listened to most of this a year or two ago when someone else posted the link. It was nothing but a "saint bashing" sermon where virtually all problems in the church were blamed for not listening/honoring/obeying the pastor, aka, the "man of God".

But....these kind of sermons make a hero out of a preacher at a preacher's conference! The harder he preaches, the more "amen"s he gets. A good "bashing" is greeted with high fives and handkerchief waving!

I havn't listened to this particular sermon, but I'm sure I would be uplifted and blessed by it!
