I'm not at liberty to say. It was a mistake posting his picture to begin with.

My wife was not in the mood to do the morning dishes. I said "If you let them sit for too long, there will be scum in the pot."
That is what happens when a pastor doesn't deal with serious issues.

This is the first really wise thing I think you've written.

I've read VB's books. There was a story in the Works of the Holy Ghost book of a church which had revival despite some members trying to get rid of the pastor with the encouragement of a brother who was outside of that church body. VB's approach with this church was very different from his approach in Laurel. Eventually those rebellious members all left the church but the instigator came to repentance and the church grew.

It seems there can be different ways of dealing with the same issue. Directly preaching against it or getting on with the work of God while letting God do the sorting out and the weeding without speaking hardly a rebuke.

The amazing thing about FPC Laurel was some/most of the disguntled, bad spirited people that were the target of Elder Bean's message did not leave and start another Jesus Name church, but went to the AoG.

I know this first hand from witnessing to several folks in the area.

One fella who told me he was a member of AoG in Laurel said to me "you don't have to witness to me about Jesus Name baptism, Bro. Hansford baptized me years ago, before Lawrence brought that Bean man from Texas and tore our church up".

Rather than repent, some of them joined themselves to MORE false doctrine, locking their children into false doctrine and damning them forever.
