In fact, I hope all Apostolic churches will make copies of this legally and distribute this to their members.

I read it a few years ago.
I've read three of Eld. Bean's books.
That sermon was (in my opinion) a typical vitriolic diatribe by a person who majors on flogging the sheep.

Perspective is a remarkable thing.

I like that signature. I like the beginning of verse 16 which continues, "Now therefore hear the word of the Lord." You might want to add that.

How does that reflect your calling?

From what I understand, Amos was a shepherd and his name means "burden" or "burden bearer." I pray that the Great Shepherd blesses you as you respond to the "burden" or "call" He has placed upon you. And that you display the independence and total lack of the fear of man that Amos displayed almost three thousand years ago.

Sam, thank you for the words.

I appreciate it.

I apologize to everyone for my perceived attitude. I am passionate about this narrow walk. Sometimes I am too zealous. Did you feel his heartbeat? He rebuked them with love.

Rico,
I have the perfect solution for your job situation, and your unchurch delimma too.
Take a course on-line and become an ordained liscensed Minister, create your own doctrine and standard that pleases you, Omit Christmas, start your own church, become your own pastor. That should be your perfect solution. Just don't mess up, and preach something that's not to your liking, cause hey, you might lose the only member you have.

Aren't you just peachy? Number one, if I were interested being ordained I wouldn't even have to take any courses to get it accomplished. I could just send in my $89.95 and get my papers. Number two, why on earth would I be interested in starting up a church? Number three, if I were inclined to start my own church I certainly wouldn't get in the pulpit and preach dress standards, unless you count the modesty the Bible talks about.

Better yet, since it's such a good idea why don't you, Price, Deseret, and anyone else interested in being controlled from a pulpit start your own church. That way you could all get together 8 times a week to pat each other on the back for how holy you are and testify about how everyone around you needs to repent and pray back through.

Why should I start another church? If they don't like what I preach, they can attend with the UPC.
