They start talking about God, but the spiritually hungry person notices that the Lady he/she is talking to has no wedding ring on, and starts to feel uncomfortable talking to her. The person who was spiritually hungry then finds a way to politely exit the conversation, never again to talk to this lady. A week later this person dies unexpectadly (doesn't matter how) without ever getting all he/she could have got because of the wedding ring.

Does anyone here think that maybe her witness would've been better recieved had she wore a wedding ring, or do we simply think that this woman was right because of a teaching that she recieved regarding no jewelry whatsoever?????

yeah right....

Thad, I was speaking of someones ring melting off as you described in your first post on this subject. I was not comparing Verbal Bean's ministry to anything. We had an extended thread related to some of the things that happened following the revival with VB on NFCF. Folks tend to see what they want to see, and ignore what doesn't fit their mold.

Brother, all you are going to get here is a lot of arguing back and forth.

The wedding ring protection myth sounds a lot like the majical hair myth to me.

Extra Biblical requirements.
It's called talking out of both sides of one's mouth, Bro.

I could just as easily say that your are delusional. But that wouldn't necessarily make it so.

You may have seen positive results following VB's ministry, I have seen shipwreck in the church that held the revival and in many of the lives that fully embraced the fear and legalism from that revival. So who is diluted?

I never said jewels are evil NEVER they just do not belong on the saints. I wish I had some jewels I would sale them and give it to Missions maybe in China. Jewels will beautify the celestial city so I will wait until I get there to get mine.
If an individual is full of pride he will exhibit that pride even if he does not wear jewels. Jewelry is innate and amoral, and like many other things can be involved in an individuals sin. This does not make them wrong in themselves.

You didn't take the broken ring as a sign?

I don't see anyone here making it a doctrinal requirement or saying it's biblical nor that it is a heaven or hell issue.
