I do not doubt Bean's anointing, and I can believe it to be possible that such a thing might happen.
The question is why?
Wedding band?
or
Material excess?
Which seems more congruent to the Word to you?

I don't know all the WHYS as to it happening back to my original point, These incidents helped shaped many views against wedding rings amongs the ultra cons. I'm not here to declare whether that is right or not right , I just know it to be the case. many UCs have pointed to these incidents to prove the Lord's Displeasure in Jewelry period.

I know, I was asking your opinion.
How often...even in the Bible...do we see something the Lord did misunderstood?
It's very conservative in nature to conclude that it was a strike at wedding bands since some no doubt were.
I wonder if my Ti band would have suffered the same fate in that meeting since it is not Gold, has no Jewels, and serves one honorary purpose: to signify and communicate that I'm married.
Still, I’d like more specifics on the event: location, date.
It happened once that I know of at the First Apostolic Church at Tulsa, OK. where the late C. P. Williams pastored. I heard the story from more than one who was there the ring broke in several pieces and fell off the sister's hand. She had just told her husband not even God could take the wedding ring off her hand. But it fell apart and she screamed to the top of her lungs.
Sounds like another Pentecostal urban legend to me......LOL!

In a way this story about the ring being destroyed reminds me a bit of the faith healers who come by and pray for peoples joints and indigestion problems when they're sick with other things that could kill them.
Why would God destroy a ring in that manner when there would have been issues such as pride, jealousy, immorality, infighting, contention, division and so on much more important, serious and threatening and that needed the Lord 's attention much more than the presence of a ring on somebody's finger.
Please!

I totally agree.
I think God has better things to do than twist up someone's wedding band to make a point.

Well the thing is ..... God has done a lot of strange things and we have to wonder why and why he would choose to do some things the way He has.
I know that God can do anything. Nothing is impossible. His ways are high above ours for sure. He could certainly twist a ring on someone's hand but I think the reason and the lesson to be learned would have more to do with than the wearing of a ring. There might have been another point He was trying to get across if indeed this ever happened in reality.
