Gen 24:15 Before he had finished speaking, behold, Rebekah, who was born to Bethuel the son of Milcah, the wife of Nahor, Abraham's brother, came out with her water jar on her shoulder.
Gen 24:16 The young woman was very attractive in appearance, a maiden whom no man had known. She went down to the spring and filled her jar and came up.
Gen 24:17 Then the servant ran to meet her and said, "Please give me a little water to drink from your jar."
Gen 24:18 She said, "Drink, my lord." And she quickly let down her jar upon her hand and gave him a drink.
Gen 24:19 When she had finished giving him a drink, she said, "I will draw water for your camels also, until they have finished drinking."
Gen 24:20 So she quickly emptied her jar into the trough and ran again to the well to draw water, and she drew for all his camels.
Gen 24:21 The man gazed at her in silence to learn whether the LORD had prospered his journey or not.
Gen 24:22 When the camels had finished drinking, the man took a gold ring weighing a half shekel, and two bracelets for her arms weighing ten gold shekels,

Gen 24:47 Then I asked her, 'Whose daughter are you?' She said, 'The daughter of Bethuel, Nahor's son, whom Milcah bore to him.' So I put the ring on her nose and the bracelets on her arms.Est 8:2 And the king took off his signet ring, which he had taken from Haman, and gave it to Mordecai. And Esther set Mordecai over the house of Haman.

Job 42:11 Then came to him all his brothers and sisters and all who had known him before, and ate bread with him in his house. And they showed him sympathy and comforted him for all the evil that the LORD had brought upon him. And each of them gave him a piece of money and a ring of gold.

Pro 25:12 Like a gold ring or an ornament of gold is a wise reprover to a listening ear.

Eze 16:6 "And when I passed by you and saw you wallowing in your blood, I said to you in your blood, 'Live!' I said to you in your blood, 'Live!'
Eze 16:7 I made you flourish like a plant of the field. And you grew up and became tall and arrived at full adornment. Your breasts were formed, and your hair had grown; yet you were naked and bare.
Eze 16:8 "When I passed by you again and saw you, behold, you were at the age for love, and I spread the corner of my garment over you and covered your nakedness; I made my vow to you and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Lord GOD, and you became mine.
Eze 16:9 Then I bathed you with water and washed off your blood from you and anointed you with oil.
Eze 16:10 I clothed you also with embroidered cloth and shod you with fine leather. I wrapped you in fine linen and covered you with silk.
Eze 16:11 And I adorned you with ornaments and put bracelets on your wrists and a chain on your neck.
Eze 16:12 And I put a ring on your nose and earrings in your ears and a beautiful crown on your head.
Eze 16:13 Thus you were adorned with gold and silver, and your clothing was of fine linen and silk and embroidered cloth. You ate fine flour and honey and oil. You grew exceedingly beautiful and advanced to royalty.
Eze 16:14 And your renown went forth among the nations because of your beauty, for it was perfect through the splendor that I had bestowed on you, declares the Lord GOD.
Eze 16:15 "But you trusted in your beauty and played the whore because of your renown and lavished your whorings on any passerby; your beauty became his.
Eze 16:16 You took some of your garments and made for yourself colorful shrines, and on them played the whore. The like has never been, nor ever shall be.
Eze 16:17 You also took your beautiful jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself images of men, and with them played the whore.

Hag 2:23 On that day, declares the LORD of hosts, I will take you, O Zerubbabel my servant, the son of Shealtiel, declares the LORD, and make you like a signet ring, for I have chosen you, declares the LORD of hosts."

Luk 15:22 But the father said to his servants, 'Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet.

I also understand that there are several people that would not want thier spouse to be flirted with, so they opt to wear a ring in mutual submission to thier spouse. I hope this makes sense, and if there is someone that can provide a better argument than "its a sin" then I would be grateful.
Conservatives wear rings. So do liberals and moderates.

She sat on a beast too, so I guess horseback riding is a sin now too

I thank God for a lovely Christain wife that has lived her convictions from a young child, even before she married me.

A wife that has never waivered on her convictions in the face of pressure from family and the world.

No she didn't get it from her family because they were all heathens.

She didn't get in from her pastor because he never mentioned it.

Naw some won't believe it and can scoff, but she got it in prayer.

Imagine that!

A young Baptist girl goes to a home mission Apostolic church, receives the Holy Ghost and dedicates her life to God and God puts convictions in her life that are still there almost 50 years later.

IMAGINE!

IF I even offered to buy her wedding ring or a tv she would pray for ME to get the victory.

It DOES NOT say that she shouldn't wear clothes, jewelry, or do her hair, yet that's what those who think that passage is speaking against jewelry claim it's saying.

1 Tim 2 agrees with Peter in saying that we should be known by our hearts, not what we have on the outside. It's NOT SAYING we should be naked, in a manner of speaking, or that we shouldn't wear anything but plain clothing, as some seem to be claiming.
I read this was an idiomatic way of saying "Let it not only be,,,,," you know the bible is full of hyperbolies

He said it to women though, so if we are going to be literal then men can wear gold and pearls...btw this does not eliminate platinum, diamonds, silver nor other gemstones
