I have a really pretty wedding ring that I got for my 25th anniversary, and I had the other one reset. It means alot to me because it represents our life together. I also have a few other nice rings that I wear (one at a time) on my right hand. I never wear more than two rings, but they were all gifts from my husband and they mean a lot to me.
If the father in the prodigal son story put a ring on his son's finger when he returned to the father's house, I figure it can't be a bad thing in God's sight.
