Aren't we supposed to do like they did? That's how some argue about other issues on this forum......LOL!

"...Put a ring on his FINGER..." (Lu.15:22) The cross reference for this Scripture takes you to Genesis 41:42, "Then Pharoah took his signet ring from his finger and put it on Joseph's finger. He dressed him in robes of fine linen and put a gold chain around his neck."

I can accept that in context both these verses denote symbols of authority. However, you are trying to make the Word say something it doesn't say because what it says does not align with your convictions.

In the Hebrew language the word "ring" is tabbaoth and refers to "[ornamental or signet] ring" A ring is ornamental regardless of the purpose for which it is worn. I fail to see how the ring being attached to a strip of leather and worn on the hand would change the significance of Jesus telling a parable in which He sees nothing wrong with a ring being worn on the finger of the son.

Did this dissolve the marriages? Or just God's public disapproval of their choice of spouse or the disapproval of wedding bands?

NO I'm seriously Not making this up. I know Truely Blessed and others like yourself think I'm just goofing but this time I'm for real. I vividly recall hearing about this and preachers talking about it how the anionting was so great that rings would melt off peoples' hands

There is NO argument about Pharaoh (who was a wonderful saint I guess) put the ring on Joseph who was indeed a saint and a chain on his neck. But this has nothing to do with the parable in Luke 15.

I've heard of a great Jewish messianic revival...heard of gold dust coming off people's heads...heard of gold fillings where there were none....
