As you see men tend to leave you be, at least if they are a good man .

What I think is funny is they say a wedding ring is to just show your married but then they go get a big one with a huge diamond rock on it. Just to show your married?? RRRRRIIGHT!

Well it kind like the hair thing, a plain bun would do the trick, so why the outlandish mile high curls cascading down the back of the neckline~ Because you can....
This remind me of what the pastor said, we don't need rings are married women wear their hair up...Ok pastor what do the married men do to show they are married....Silence
He then goes on to adds, a ring will not keep one faithful...Oh and wearing your hair in a bun will keep one faithful...Sorry pastor your logic is lacking~ GoodDay

Well, I always thought that when I was conservative too. Truth is, some folks want a rock.

See...why would Peter tell women NOT to adorn themselves with garments? Outward braiding of hair or putting on clothing?
That is absurd! Peter is not telling them to walk around stark naked. He is telling them their true adornment is INWARD. Don't PRIDE yourself in your outward appearence, when you do then you truely are in the wrong. Paul is addressing attitude. An attitude many Pentecostal ladies have despite NOT wearing jewelry. In fact some PRIDE themselves in how long their hair is.
In fact Peter here says the Holy women of God so clothed their heart...they were godly women, yet from what the OT tells us they still wore jewelry!
1Pe 3:4 but let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, the meek and quiet spirit, which is of great price in the sight of God.
1Pe 3:5 For so once indeed the holy women hoping in God adorned themselves, being in subjection to their own husbands;
1Pe 3:6 as Sarah obeyed Abraham, calling him lord; whose children you became, doing good and fearing no terror.

AMEN!

It is true that the outward will reflect the inward, but that doesn't mean everyone's outward must reflect YOUR convictions of what that looks like. I always find it interesting that when these topics come up the onus is always on the women to reflect godliness. For example, I couldn't help but notice that when the UPC held their conference in our church recently, the men from the US had the very latest hairstyles and would have fit into any modern setting, while the women had hairstyles that were very dated and would have made them very out of place in a modern setting.

3 'Who of you is left who saw this house in its former glory? How does it look to you now? Does it not seem to you like nothing? 4 But now be strong, O Zerubbabel,' declares the LORD. 'Be strong, O Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land,' declares the LORD, 'and work. For I am with you,' declares the LORD Almighty. 5 'This is what I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt. And my Spirit remains among you. Do not fear.'
6 "This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. 7 I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,' says the LORD Almighty. 8 'The silver is mine and the gold is mine,' declares the LORD Almighty. 9 'The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,' says the LORD Almighty. 'And in this place I will grant peace,' declares the LORD Almighty." (Haggai 2:3-9)
I find it interesting that in the middle of God's promise to Israel that He would not only restore the former glory, but this glory would be even greater than the former glory, He declares, " The silver is mine and the gold is mine".
God takes pride in the fact that the gold and silver in this world belongs to Him and associates it with His glory. I think that my wedding band that has silver, gold, and diamonds in it probably pleases Him very much as He looks upon it and says, "that gold, silver and diamonds is mine", reflecting something that could only be brought into existence by the Creator of this universe!
He put gold and silver and precious stones into His earthly temple, and in the New Jerusalem, so why would the God who changes not, be displeased if we who are now the temple of God are adorned with gold, silver, and precious stones?
I'm sorry, but God hasn't changed His view on gold and silver. SE and others like him need to admit their silliness on this issue.
