What about lapel pins with the flag on it? What about silk ties? Anything can be about pride, wearing it does not mean a person has pride.

Brother if you feel that the what the Orthodox Jews do is anything today like God would expect of us it would be a valid point.I only responded to your post.

It's not so bad... guess it wasn't recognized when I was in school... it'd explain [to me] why I was always just ONE step behind the rest of the class!

what about based on the principles of what the bible says about money? Maybe some pastors should give their tithes back to the poor folks!

Some people with decent jobs (compared to those that take phone calls for min wage) should quit and take a job where they get paid far less...God forbid their flesh should rise up in pride. Seriously, we can sit around discover all sort of wrongheaded principles that were NEVER meant to be discovered (read added into the word). They don't make sense and are just not biblical. Principles often address attitudes more than what items you can own or wear

I agree with this post.He did say adorn and gave external examples.I agree that it can be a source of pride.Women are prone to worry about the external alot.We worry about diet, hair, clothes, home decor etc.It can become a fixation if allowed to.I think about how long it takes at the Salon. My mom
had a Salon and I have lived with her and two sisters who are the ultimate primps. If you wear the eyelashes,do a wax, facial, perm, dye, set, straighten,
deep condition or hot oil treatment, nails, manicure, pedicure etc it can take all day or even two and it doesn't last. Not to mention time in the tanning booth,
gym, shopping for the right outfit including accessories and then getting ready each morning if you wear makeup etc.Men seem to think this stuff comes easy and comes cheap but I have to say it does not and it can become a source of pride.Oh did I fail to mention the foundations that go under the garments and the time getting fitted etc for them.Oh and if you lose weight
shopping for more plus taking up the new ones.
I have to say its easier to be yourself than it is to redefine yourself in the natural. Some sisters take two or more hours to get ready for church. In years gone by they spent most of Saturday getting ready for Sundays services.
Hey women can be very prideful when it comes to adornment and I agree
they don't need to look like they just rolled out of bed wearing wrinkled blue denim.Evidently God knew this too or the Apostle Paul who must have had sisters.lol..

Hey I thought this was about wedding rings not adultry or fornication.
