In my recollection of my own posting habits, I have not once challenged the Oneness view but except in the Debate Section. And in that section I have made it clear that I am not Oneness some time ago...

I personally think the view is 80%-90% on the nose, but the missing percentages have left me realizing I can't say that I subscribe to the Oneness view of the Godhead, and still be honest and maintain my integrity, as Job's wife might say.

That being said, a more thorough discussion could potentially be had in the Debate Section, if one were so inclined to begin a thread, so that we may keep this one on topic.
Thank you for your response. I believe the members should have been made aware of that.

Your not wrong to point out the mouth breathing, I am old enough to remember when that was a thing. And you're right about the screaming thing too; I sometimes feel like the man behind the pulpit is being abusive. But there are plenty of men out there who don't employ such methods, so stop beating up on previous generations. All you are doing is vexing yourself and those who listen to you...where is the joy in that?

So everyone stands in shock...yet another administrator on Apostolic Friends Forum that IS NOT Apostolic....oh wait...but we already knew that.

Hey here is a question for all the admin...are there any of you who believe in the oneness of God and that Jesus name baptism is essential for salvation???

Re: Apostolic annointing

This is actually a forum where you will likely be attacked, disparaged, and disdained for being Apostolic, mostly because of people's outdated prejudices and stereotypes, and sometimes outright hatreds.

on the other hand, there are many nice people here that still make it worth logging in in spite of the oppression.

Re: Apostolic annointing

The irony is that Oneness people are Oneness and triniarians are Oneness as well. It is a myth that trinitarians believe in 3 gods. There are distinctions in the Oneness and trinitarian views but both believe in one God.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

I haven't vexed myself at all. However I am sure I have vexed a few other people! Two reasons for posting something like that. One is I thought it was humorous observation on how annointing was viewed when I grew up in old time Pentecost. Secondly for those who still view annointing the same way I would hope it would give them pause and have them think about what biblical annointing is vs religious cultureal traditions.

This is apostolic FRIENDS forum, not Apostolics Only forum. The administration has defined apostolic a certain way, but has not used the definition to limit or control membership, or those who are seen as qualified to maintain the peace and keep the board going through moderation of users and threads created.

And isn't it interesting, that I state that I'm not Oneness, and suddenly you've assumed that I don't believe Jesus name baptism is essential for salvation?

And if the truth about me is so hard to take, and you take offense at me being an admin here, go and create your own forum. Set it up however you like. Here ya go:
