Lol! Lighting up, some of you have no sense of humor!

I thought Laura Bush looked classy. In spite of the cost, Cindy McCain would have been wise to have invested some money in a personal dresser. I heard someone describe her as "dressed as a banana"and to me that was an apt description.

If that is true, they both got royaly ripped off, what could possibility make any dress worth that much?

"ST. PAUL, Minn., Sept. 5 (UPI) -- Potential U.S. first lady Cindy McCain sported about $300,000 in designer clothes and accessories at one of the GOP convention sessions, fashion experts said.

Vanity Fair totaled up the duds McCain wore during Tuesday's session of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn., and found the Oscar de la Renta frock McCain wore was $3,000; the Chanel watch, $4,500; shoes, $600, and a four-strand pearl necklace, between $11,000 and $25,000, the New York Daily News reported Friday.

Rounding out the ensemble were 3-carat diamond earrings, a mere $280,000. The newspaper said the jewelry estimates were based on the assumption that the gems were, ah, real.

First lady Laura Bush, by comparison, wore an outfit that night estimated to cost between $3,000 and $4,000, the newspaper reported."

Seems I heard the jewelry were family heirlooms. I think she could have dressed more modestly (price wise), but then again that might have been modestly priced clothing according to her income........
