Of course I have no idea who this teacher is and I don't need to know.
When the UPC was formed in 1945, ministers with different opinions on the new birth came together in a new organization. Some ministers believed that justification/salvation/regeneration happened at repentance. Others believed that justification/salvation/regeneration did not happen until repentance, water baptism, and Spirit baptism had been experienced. We don't really know how many or what percentage of those ministers fell into either of those two groups. The main thing was that they agreed to fellowship based on baptism in Jesus' name and would respect one another's opinions about how and when a person is saved or born again. Why can't we Oneness/Apostolic/Pentecostal folks do the same today? Why do we (both one-steppers and three-steppers) argue, criticize, put down, belittle, mock, condemn, etc instead of respecting one another and accepting one another as brothers and sisters?
1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!
2 It is like the precious ointment poured on the head, that ran down on the beard, even the beard of Aaron [the first high priest], that came down upon the collar and skirts of his garments [consecrating the whole body].
3 It is like the dew of [lofty] Mount Hermon and the dew that comes on the hills of Zion; for there the Lord has commanded the blessing, even life forevermore [upon the high and the lowly].
Psalm 133:1-3 from the Amplified Bible

What is the salvation you hold dear?
Does it include the baptism of standards?
Yep you hear a new coined phrase baptism of standards.

Re: Letter from Bro. Chester Wright to Bro. Haney
Ultimately it seems that since in one persuasion's view, the other is not saved, thus they don't consider them as brother/sister, that eventually the other persuasion has ended up adapting that same view because of the agitism they recieve and thus end up using it as well. Both sides end up bitter. I know that feeling for because of where I stand on some things, I am not accepted by most of the 3 or 1 steppers. It hurts alot.

When this teacher was asked why he stayed in the UPCI if he believed that way, his reply was I can do more on the inside than on the outside.

Hmmm. To my knowledge this never happened as described at CLC. If any teachers did express this opinion (which I doubt that, if taken in the context of what they said really could be construed to be that such people were saved) then they did so without Brother Haney's direct consent in other words, he did not "allow" it, as alleged.
The fact is Brother (or Sister???) Light was not there at the time and should not speak with such implied authority on the subject. Many such allegations were made about instructors at CLC which were unfounded and incorrect. Not everything spoken there (CLC) has been totally in line with correct Apostolic doctrine, but to say it was done with Kenneth Haney's approval is simply wrong.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Letter from Bro. Chester Wright to Bro. Haney
Times, styles, technologies, etc. always change.
What truly separates us is our message. One God and Acts 2:38 and clean living.
I remember being told about how the elders made owning life insurance and seeing a doctor a serious separation issue. They would say, "We don't need Egypt's insurance or Epypt's physicians." Guess what....today things have changed. Most reading this have some form of insurance and have seen a doctor.
I like dress standards. My family has them. But we can't emphasize these things over the message.

One thing about this letter...it demonstrates a pet peeve of mine. It attempts to thoroughly reveal a problem that nearly everyone is aware of to some degree or another.
But it offers no concrete course of action.
