I know, I know. It's wasting my breath trying to convince people. You'd just have to come visit to see the results!

And most won't even believe it then, because all the folks you "won" are not truly saved! Lol!
It's a losing proposition! But, you know you're in the will of God, and that's all that matters.

Sherri do these people you are talking about have to have the H.G. and be baptised in Jesus name in order to go to heaven or are they all right just because they have repented.

What am I to think when smoking-social drinking-divorce & remarriage-even somewhat defence of homosexuality has been defended on this forum? Much less bathing suits-clothing that is immodest-bobbed hair- makeup-jewelry-Hollywood gets a nod-no music unacceptable? Sorry it don'tsound like repentance to me. They still go where the world goes-does what the world does-and looks like the world. Repeating the sinner's prayer was NOT the repentance of their forefathers.

Just kidding.
However, I did ask you why you're licensed with the UPCI if you feel the merger was a big mistake? Bro. Epley has his opinions about the organization, I'm led to believe you agree with him on most things, but you choose to remain a member of an organization that did not require men to preach the same thing.
Why?

For years I did not know about these differences. Everyone I knew believed the doctrine. My family goes way back to the 20 and were PAJC before the merge. My grandmother did know anything about this saved at repentance stuff, said she had never heard of such.
I have read many book about pentecostal history, of course the y come from the PPH and there was no mention of this doctrine. I really didn't know what the difference was between the two groups. It wasn't until I started viewing forums that I found out what PCI believed, then someone gave me the book Christianity without the Cross.
As for my carrying a card I have my reasons but my time is limited. But as long as iICARRY A CARD AND PAY DUES ICAN VOICE MY CONCERS AND DISLIKES.

Just FYI-- most of the things that you mentioned I DO NOT believe are ok.
Repentance is a genuine turning from sin and turning toward God. Often it involves weeping and emotion, but sometimes it doesn't. I believe that you CAN lead someone in a prayer if they really and truly don't know how to pray and are scared to talk to God. They can repeat something and mean it. I've seen people weep like babies as they repeated a prayer of repentance. But we usually DON'T do it this way. We explain what repentance is and people ask for forgiveness and for their lives to be changed all on their own. Sometimes they do it at an altar; sometimes at their seats.

The Billy Graham way? I understand I just don't believe in it. I was at an Apostolic meeting where this was done and didn't believe in it there either.
