I agree. I don't believe that Israel does define Jewish as cultural and not a religion. There may be some who are secular, like secular Christianity, but Israel is very much a religious country.

Yes, because Zionism has zero to do with religion. Same as being a Republican or Democrat has zero to do with being a religion. It is a secular country. The only time a Zionist like Netanyahu gets real preachy is when they are talking to Americans.

Side note we must keep everything in context, when Rabbi Yaakov Shapiro says he and his family have noting to do with Israel. What he is meaning is politically. Religiously it is a Holy Land and Jerusalem a Holy City.
