Do you feel something is wrong with that saying? Its seems perfectly scriptural to me.
22: All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
Luke 10:22
Yeshua said the only way you could know who the Father is comes by the
revelation of the Son.
16: And without controversy great is the
mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
1 Tim. 3:16
The word mystery in Greek means "hidden truth". If its hidden then it takes
revelation to understand.
I think when many first see it they
DO get excited about it. As years go by they begin to get a "ho hum" attitude about it.
