I Prefer Pentecostal

What's wrong with being Pentecostal? When did being Apostolic become so important? Color me grouchy, but I don't even think most of the world knows what "Apostolic" means. Pretty much everyone understands that Pentecost implies an experience.

I prefer Pentecostal.

And I know you all care deeply about my preferences.

AOG and Cogic are penteocostals too ... I guess some wanted to come out from among them ....

I think this is a ploy ... since you have accepted .... that...

I'M MORE APOSTOLIC THAN YOU'LL EVER BE.

When we left UPC in 1991, no one was called Apostolic at least in our circles. This is a relatively new term they are using, I think. We have discussed this on FCF before, I know.

yeah dan, it's all about you, Baby!

I tell you what, you be Apostolic, and I'll be Pentecostal. That way we have separate claims to fame.

But 'relationship' is so much harder to slice and dice up and put into little boxes and define! It's NOT FAIR!!

Agreed ... one of my dad's few regrets, as he confessed to me, is that in the early and mid part of his ministry ... he felt he put more emphasis on the experience in his preaching and did not focus on teaching relationship .... although his example taught us otherwise.

I personally like the word Pentecostal as Catholic churches are called Apostolic in many places of Brazil..;
