James, this guy has some problematic associations with diploma mills. Is he really the sort of guy who should be at the forefront of our Oneness efforts?

Our movement has been plagued with fraud for years. We really need to clean our own house, don't you think?

I don't think anyone is at the forefront of anything Pel. I think many people are trying to spread Truth. Have you read his work? It is well footnoted. I have the first two. Academically speaking though I think French and Segraves, maybe Bernard, are probably at the top or "at the forefront" as you say.

I appreciate the ferreting out of the truth, but it concerns me that someone might actually take classes and *earn* a degree, only to have it negated because the college itself has a bad reputation. If someone put in the time and work to take classes, and thought they were earning a legit degree, I think that's different than just issuing a check and never taking a class.

How do we know whether someone attended SEU for *real* or whether they took online courses or just paid for their piece of paper?

The school isn't legit. It doesn't matter if they have a trailer designated as a classroom or not. It's a facade.

"Life experience" awards are honorary in nature and not treated as actual degrees. Also, I wouldn't boast about an honorary award unless it was from a school the mattered. No one boasts of getting an honorary degree from John Doe College. They do when it's from Pepperdine, Yale, Harvard, Cambridge, etc

BTW, other than Kings College (which isn't the college they've listed here, again another knock off brand), I don't recognize any of those other schools.

No matter how much you go to fight for these schools and creds, why aren't our people using legit schools? Why the shady nature about it all??

First of all, Southeastern doesn't offer a Doctorate degree (they feed the AOG's Seminary programs). Second of all, Southeastern would actually be legit -- and quite easy to verify. Third, as Timmy indicated, it's clearly spelled out on the bios for these guys.

However, SEU can stand for a Southeastern University degree. They use the same acronym as the "degree mill" you're referring to. Since LS & KB actually spelled it out, then it appears you guys are correct in crying foul.

Same acronym, completely different school. That particular college has been there a LONG TIME, has reputable faculty and has earned a reputation for scholarship.
