Firebirds is my favorite restaurant in Memphis! I would go just for the pecan green beans!! Their bread is awesome; the meatloaf is wonderful. The desserts are great. Totally fabulous; I've never had anything bad there.

Come on down!

Last night Deacon dubbed Firebirds the official AFF restaurant.

I had the sirloin steak last night and it was awesome....would have thought it was a fillet mignon.

I hope you meant "dubbed" not "duped"!!! I mean Deacon seems like such an honest man I really can't see him "duping" anybody.

You have to remember that she was a great singer and many of these guys were looking for that!!! Her deficit was that she didn't play the piano or any other instruments though.

She filled in for Marietta in the Lanny Wolfe Trio one time at a Southern campmeeting after which a well known (UPC blue blood) young preacher asked her out. During the date (their first) he actually asked her what her daddy did for a living!!!! Talk about interviewing the potential mates (LOL)

I will tell you one funny story not involving preachers. Tyhuffs ex-husband went on a date with my wife back when they were young and single. When he kissed her he told her that his Uncle Morris had taught him how to kiss. She didn't say anything out loud but thought to herself that he was not a good teacher because she had dated and kissed Morris and he was a better kisser than Keith! (Keith didn't realize she had dated his Uncle Morris)
It was CC1's fault that the uncle got into this story and it had NOTHING to do with me!

And SH brought up the sleeping bag, which I still don't get since it was an Epley reference.

Hey... this thread is waaaaay to long to read. I remember Epley saying something about Lost as two boys in a sleeping bag, but that could have been an extrapolation on the lost as two boys comment of his.
