A space force is not a crazy idea, but it is too early to implement it. Probably we will need one sometime in the future, but for now it is simply a waste of resources.

I wonder... there has been quite a bit of disclosure about secret programs whose mission was to investigate UFO phenomena. Even declassified footage from an encounter has been made public. I wonder if the necessity of laying the foundation of a Space Force is related? Might there be a threat from another world that we're not aware of?

Also, perhaps more realistically, I wonder if there perhaps another nation who is already working on this? Maybe Trump has been briefed and we need to prepare to counter another nation vying for military hegemony in outer space.

Oh please America rules the skies and outer space, however other nations are trying to catch up, so I predict that we might see the creation of a space force maybe in 20 years or perhaps in 30 years. Right now it simply makes no sense to create that new military branch.

China tested an anti-satellite weapon back in 2007. It blew up one of its own satellites, the debris of which are still in orbit and pose a danger to other satellites. It's since continued to experiment and has tested other weapons which have not caused debris, but which have destroyed the satellite.
