Finally.
It's well documented that Google has protected itself here in the US by being close with obama. It's no coincidence that Schmidt and obama became close back in 2007. It's also no coincidence that after bracing for an FTC antitrust suit in 2013, nothing happened.
Congress is looking into why the FTC didn't follow through with its antitrust suit and whether the White House had any role in squashing it.
The biggest mistake Microsoft and Bill Gates made, it was not giving enough money to the political machine, and not getting close with the Clintons. It could've avoided its antitrust suit if it would have done so.
