Exclamation Someone deleted all my e-mails

Yesterday I went on AOL to check my messages and they were all deleted. I changed my password on all my accounts because I know a hacker could pretty much figure out my passwords. Nothing is safe anymore is it?

*sigh*

Re: Someone deleted all my e-mails

It probably wasn't a hacker. It was probably an AOL glitch. I used AOL when I first got online. Emails disappeared on a regular basis. I have been told by several computer experts that AOL works like a virus in a computer-- and that's the GOOD thing they had to say about AOL. I haven't used AOL is about 8 years now.

tip for passwords- use a random series of letters & numbers. Not your initials and birthdate though.

I know. MY BIL hates AOL because it attaches itself to every computer and program in your system. This is the first time in 10 years that I have had my whole e-mail account drained. Wacky isn't it?

We have good admin here and they are pretty sharp about such things. I think they take good care of us here.

Re: Someone deleted all my e-mails

Sorry to hear this sister, I don't use AOL as my primary email anymore, I use Yahoo. I don't use AOL as my internet provider anymore either.

I agree about AOL- I got rid of it several years ago, it was the devil getting rid of. It is too expensive for what you get.

The college I worked for required our passwords to have at least one Capital letter , numbers and letters of your choice in any ramdom order and must be changed every 6 months.

I still use AOL. I have my DSL service thru Sprint, but work thru AOL just because it's the email I've used since day #1. I don't have any problems with it at all. I don't have to pay to use it because my internet access doesn't come thru them.
