GHZ and routers???

Got me a new router because we bought a new laptop. Old router made videos pause and such. We got dual mode one, but when getting it hooked up the lady on the phone from belkin had me go trough a whole bunch of steps to get it running, including turning off 5ghz mode leaving 2.4ghz on. So far it's working fine, but should I call to have 5ghz on as well? We have one laptop for browsing and watching shows such as a&e videos.

We did pay an extra 20 bucks for the higher power, but if working fine should I just let it ride?

lol you don't have to call them to turn it on. You can have both on most likely.

You don't need the disk either.

All you do is plug in a network cable then point your browser to a particular IP address typically 192.168.1.1 or similar. You can find this out on the internet or in the documentations that came with it. From there the log in is usually

Admin
Password

Most of the time the Admin panel has a wizard already built in, otherwise you can do it all manually
